TERM-I
Class 1 English NCERT textbook, Marigold has 10 chapters in which TERM I has 5 chapters.
English is one of the most important subjects of the Class 1 CBSE curriculum. It is imperative for young learners to develop their spoken English as well as writing skills of this subject at the onset of their academic life. Having a solid foundation in the subject and a strong grammatical base makes it easier for students to understand and progress to higher classes with ease.

- After the students listen to the poem they may be asked questions such as ‘Where does the child live?’ etc., The interaction should move on to a discussion about different kinds of houses.
- Naming/identifying different kinds of houses from pictures, models and screen sharing.
- AAC activity: Students are shown the video which will give information on different animals and birds who attended the birthday party, and the objects seen in the video. Comprehension questions may be asked to elicit responses from students.
- The video is shown again and students may be asked to draw their favorite animal/bird seen in the video.
- Word building using sliders.
